Studio b Dance Team

for ages 4+

New Member Audition Details

Auditions for the 2025-2026 SbDT season will take place June 2–5. This is a fun and supportive experience where dancers show us their current skills, enthusiasm, and readiness to be part of the team. Dancers ages 4 through high school are welcome to audition—no prior team experience is required. Details about the 2025-2026 Studio b Dance Team and the interest form link can be found in our Team Handbook by clicking the button below.

Studio b Dance Team

At Studio b, our Dance Team (SbDT) is a space where dancers can grow in both skill and confidence while still enjoying the full experience of being a kid or teen. We emphasize strong technique, captivating performance quality, and age-appropriate artistry—always paired with family-friendly values.

The SbDT experience begins as early as age 5 and continues through high school, offering the opportunity to progress at every stage. With a manageable weekly schedule our program supports a healthy family life and school involvement. Our team is known for its organization, clear communication, and positive environment, making it easy for families to feel supported and informed every step of the way.

Beginner Friendly Opportunities

Our team program also includes two exciting opportunities for younger dancers who are just getting started and looking for a fun, beginner-friendly way to explore performing:

b.boppers (Ages 4–6)
The b.boppers program is the perfect first step into the world of performing! Dancers attend one weekly class that includes both technique and choreography for a group routine. With a playful, age-appropriate approach, this class helps dancers build confidence, coordination, and a love for the stage—all while having fun and making friends. The b.boppers will attend one regional competition.

Spotlight (Ages 7+)
Spotlight is designed for elementary-age dancers who are ready for more structure and training, but still in an approachable and supportive setting. Dancers take two weekly classes—one ballet class and one class that focuses on technique and choreography for a group routine. It’s a great way to develop strong foundational skills while gaining experience as part of a team. The Spotlight dancers will attend one regional competition.

Competition Philosophy

At Studio b, we view competitions as a chance for dancers to grow—not just in skill, but in confidence and character. While we take pride in strong performances, our focus is on personal progress, team connection, and the joy of sharing the stage. Competitions provide valuable feedback, unforgettable memories, and moments that build lifelong confidence. Awards and placements are a fun bonus, but the real win is in the growth our dancers experience along the way.
